FAQs
-
Do you take walk-ins?Sure we do, it's just unlikely that we'd have a free slot at the time you walk in... we do however encourage joining the waitlist for your preferred dates (even on the same day) as things can change.
-
The calendar shows no availability on the day/time that I want - could this change?YES. We run a waitlist for this very reason as changes occur daily. We may get cancellations or an additional technician may be scheduled in at a later date. We’d recommend adding yourself to the waitlist. Please note: availability is not guaranteed and often occurs at short notice.
-
How far in advance can I book in?Our schedule opens on the first day of the month for the month ahead. So on January 1st, you'll be able to book appointments for February.
-
If I book in for a treatment that includes ‘Removals’ but no longer have anything to remove, is that okay?Since removal appointments factor in time for you to sit and soak your product off, we'd appreciate a heads up to make sure a tech is available at the time of your appointment.
-
I’ve studied the services page, but still can't decide. What should I do?Book the treatment that takes longer just in case. But if you know what you’re having closer to the time, please do let us know so that you haven’t reserved a 1hr slot for a 30min treatment.
-
I booked two treatments but only received confirmation for one. Please contact us to make sure we have the right treatments booked in.
-
Can I have my hands and feet done simultaneously? If we have two technicians available at the same time, sure. Availability for double appointments are more likely when booked in advance.
-
Can I make a group booking?Of course! This is however subject to availability. We'd advise getting your head count and treatment choices in order so that we can do our best to arrange it for you.
-
I've booked two treatments and have a gap in between the times. Is it possible to move it closer? It's likely that we're already aware and working on moving it closer. We keep an eye on cancellations in order to make your appointments follow one after the other (this is not however, guaranteed). If the treatment times are staggered, please make sure you pay close attention to the times stated in each confirmation email and arrive at the earlier time.
-
Is it possible to book in with a specific technician? While you can select a specific technician, we may switch on occasion in order to help the salon catch up on timing. If you'd prefer to stick with a specific tech, please state so in the booking notes.
-
My partner comes to you, is it possible to gift a treatment?Of course. You can pay towards a pre-booked treatment but since the total can change on the day (due to add-ons), gift cards tend to work better.
-
What is your cancellation policy? To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations (including reschedules) within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee of the booked treatment(s). Please note that if you do not show up to your appointment, there will be a full charge for all booked treatment(s). Read the full policy here.

What's the strongest nail system you offer? My nails are weak and need maximum strength!Since our systems are so different from one another, and everyone's nail condition varies, we’d advise finding the best treatment through trial and error. If your natural nails are recovering from damage, SNS dipping powder can protect (a powder-based product means it's sturdy) and nourish (it contains vitamins). Builder gel (aka BIAB) is also a strong contender, but if your nails are too thin and damaged, the heat spike during the curing process may be a little uncomfortable. You can read our services page to learn more.
-
Why don't you do acrylics and what's the alternative? It's not just acrylics we don't do - it's any nail system that doesn't allow for a damage-free soak off. All of our systems - even the extensions - can be easily and safely removed without compromising the natural strength of your own nails. If it's extensions that you're after, SNS is a coloured powder which easily melts away in acetone and Apres Gel-X is a soft-gel system that softens in acetone (we then push off to remove in the exact same way as gel polish).
-
Do I need to remove product from elsewhere before my appointment? We can remove everything including systems that we don't offer ourselves (e.g. acrylics, hard gels, foreign gels). The type of product that needs removing will determine the cost: If you have regular gel polish from somewhere else and you would like to try builder gel/BIAB, the price would be £50 as we don't charge for removals on systems that we provide. If however, you were removing acrylics and applying builder/BIAB, it'd be £65 (£50 BIAB + £15 for acrylic removal). Alternatively, if you just wanted a removal and no other treatment, we charge £10 to remove systems we offer and £15 to remove acrylics. View the pricelist.
-
Do you use electric files aka the drill?Yes, however this is limited to removing old product. We do not use the e-file on your natural nail bed or to remove/prep your cuticles.
-
Do I need to patch test with you guys if I've had lashes done elsewhere?Yes. Patch tests are a requirement for all of our eyelash treatments and must be carried out at least 48 hours ahead.
-
I don't live in the area, can you post the patch test?Unfortunately we don't offer this option. All patch tests are carried out in-salon.
-
Do you infill lashes that are done elsewhere? We don't as the finished look tends to not look as seamless as it otherwise would.
-
How do I know which style of extensions to go for?We have loads of images on our Instagram under eyelash highlights titled under 'Volume', 'Hybrid', 'Classics' and 'LVL' so that should give you a good idea of what our lashes look like. Bear in mind that length, density, curl and volume can and will be tailored to your eye shape/eyelash health/ desired look. Take a look at our Instagram.
-
How long do eyelash treatments last?Eyelash extensions should be infilled every 2-3 weeks depending on aftercare at home. If you're having them done just the once, the extensions will last 6-8 weeks during which point they will gradually grow/fall out with your natural lashes (following its natural lash cycle). Eyelash lifts last the same time frame, for the same reason.

How do I book in for designs? When booking in, you'll find a 'Notes' section when inputting your info. This is where you would detail any designs, french finishes, chrome, ombre, fixes and any other add-ons. Please note that this does not guarantee that we're able to accommodate it. If it's a definite requirement, feel free to call to check if it's possible or to rearrange for a time when it is.
-
What is considered a 'design'?Anything that isn't one plain solid colour. This is all that your appointment allows for so anything else requires additional time. That includes french, multiple colours, chrome, stickers, cat-eye, ombre etc. The extra time also allows us to discuss any variations of the finish too. E.g. different french styles or colour combos.
-
How much are designs? That depends entirely on what design. We recommend sending us (via email or Instagram) example images and/or describe in as much detail as possible so that we can best advise.
-
How do I know which nail tech I can book in for designs with? All of our nail technicians can do nail designs.
-
What system can I get designs on?All of them, except regular polish (but you can request stickers). Nail art is done with gel polish which can be applied on top of all long-lasting treatments including SNS.
-
Can I purchase products in-store?Yes, you can pick up most things in the salon including the creams, scrubs and strengtheners that we use. We can also order OPI and DND colours (regular polish) on request. This is not limited to the shades that we ourselves use. Feel free to message us on Instagram or email us.
-
What gel brands do you use?We use a combination of the following brands; OPI, DND, The Gel Bottle, Blazing Star, Bold Berry & Candy Coat.
-
What dipping powder brand do you use?The original brand, SNS.
-
Is there parking? There's paid parking bays along the main and side roads. If you go further up, you might find free parking too (Glebe Ave, Bycullah Road, Chase Court Gardens).
-
What's the nearest station? We're right opposite Enfield Chase Station overground station which connects to Finsbury Park, Highbury & Islington and Moorgate. The closest underground tube station is Oakwood which is a 5 minute bus ride away. But the buses don't come too often so please do check in advance.
-
Do you accept cash or card?Yes, we accept both cash and card including AMEX. If you pay using cash, we will give you a 10% discount off your bill.
-
How long are gift cards valid for?Our gift cards are valid for a period of 12 months from the month of purchase. Gift cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced or refunded. Please note gift cards must be physically presented in store to be redeemed - we are unable to accept photographs of vouchers.
-
I'm allergic to a specific nail system. Can I still book? Please inform us of your allergies at the time of booking so that we can advise well ahead of time.
-
Is it safe to do my nails while pregnant? All of our nail treatments are safe to do while pregnant, it's more a matter of comfort. You might prefer to wear a mask to shield from dust particles. Generally, our salon is low in fumes because of the systems we don't use.
-
Do you use UV lamps and are they harmful? Our lamps feature dual lights that are UV & LED. The UV rays emitted from nail lamps are very low, and therefore not harmful.
-
How are your tools sterilised? All metal instruments including cuticle nippers, pushers, nail cutters and pedi graters are thoroughly cleaned and then placed in individual pouches for autoclave sterilisation. This process kills 100% of all bacteria. All other items including your file and buffer are placed in your personal nail kit which you are required to purchase from us for £3. You will need to take your kit home and bring it back to each appointment. Please note that if you lose or forget to bring your kit to your appointment, you will need to purchase a new one.
